Position Title: Visiting Research Scientist in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology

Summary: Join the lab of Dr. Sarah Lutz at the University of Illinois at Chicago to research contribution of blood-brain barrier dysfunction to neuroinflammation and cognitive impairment in mouse models of Long COVID and vascular dementia. For examples of relevant recent projects please see doi: 10.1093/brain/awae031.  Experience with animal research, PhD in immunology or neuroscience, and first author publications or other demonstration of ability to lead projects is desired. Knowledge of T cell neuroimmunology is helpful. Helpful skills include in vivo drug delivery, brain microdissections, flow cytometry, quantitative microscopy, mouse husbandry.  Women, minorities, folks of diverse backgrounds and experiences, and anyone kind and hard-working are encouraged to apply.
