Sanofi Travel AwarD

Established in 2014 by Dr. Karen Chandross, the $1,500 Sanofi Travel Award, presented by the ASN, recognizes an outstanding postdoctoral fellow conducting translational research. The award supports the recipient’s attendance at the ASN annual meeting and is selected from the pool of travel award applicants. 


APPLICATION DETAILS

APPLICATION PERIOD:

  • Coincides with the annual meeting abstract submission period.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Awards are restricted to post-doctoral scientists who received their PhD within the last six (6) years, as of March 1 of the year for which they apply for the award.
  • Applicants must reside in the Western Hemisphere, which according to ASN's Standing Rules is defined as Canada, North America, Central America, South America, US Possessions and the Caribbean. If you are from Latin America you should also apply for the Young Latin American Scholar's Award.
  • Applicants are not required to be ASN members.
  • Applicants must be first (presenting) author of a submitted abstract.
  • Applicants may not have received a Sanofi Award from ASN previously.
  • No more than three (3) applicants from any laboratory may apply.

MEETING EXPECTATIONS:

  • Travel award recipients are expected to attend the entire meeting and business meeting.
  • Award winners will be formally presented during the annual meeting.
